Hallowed Be Thy Name

Taking a break from the typical wedding and portrait schedule, I had the opportunity to photograph an ordination ceremony for the Archdiocese of Kansas City & St. Joseph. In the last few years I have shot the photos used in the seminarian posters posted at the diocesan churches and schools--it is a great way for me to use my talents in living my faith. Plus I get to work with my good friend (and old college roomie!) Leslie Beck, a very talented graphic designer who designs the posters.

This year we decided to get some very unique pictures to use for the posters beside the standard headshots and group photo. I was invited to shoot the ordination of Fr. Doug Langner. And let me tell you, 12 years of Catholic school and countless Sunday masses did not prepare me for the beauty and solemnity of this event. You could feel God's presence there. I was hoping that the pictures would convey the holiness and honor of the ceremony, and I am very pleased with the results:
