Jessica + Steve - 4.10.10

I've known Jessica and her family for ummmmm 20 years?! Jessica was in my bro, Chris' class back in our Colby, KS days (yup, that's the Oasis on the Plains). Anyway, we hadn't seen her in years until one fortuitous evening when Jessica walked into the bar that Chris was bartending at (turns out, Steve came in there often and already knew Chris pretty well!) Chris gave Jessica an update on our fam (including the fact that yours truly was a pro photographer) and when Jessica & Steve eventually got engaged, guess who she came to for photography??? :)

Lovely mother-daughter moment to start things off. It was so great to see Mrs. Schlick again!

This is officially one of my FAVORITE photos of all-time! We got this magnolia tree at just the right time. I drove by just a couple days later and the magnolias were completely gone. Add a fun, vintage chair and a beautiful bride and VOILA!

When I go through the pics the first time, usually blurred ones like these are the first to go. But this one is AMAZING! I could see turning this into a big canvas or some sort of fine art piece.
