Meet the Currys

One of the best things about doing this is being able to see old friends and their new families. I have known Dan the father of these two adorable children for a very long time, high school in fact. You may know him from the recent press he has gotten, something about a "homemade" pizza oven (another time another blog). He is also somewhat of a literary guru, and he has met his match with his wife Leah, who works at the KCAI (Art Institue for those who are in the know) --and now with kids and families we get together not as often as we should. They are a young hip modern family and I wanted to portray that in their family portraits. They live in the city, they appreciate it (as do I) and so we stayed close to my urban little studio and focused on their beautiful faces and the lovely evening. I only hope they treasure these pictures as much as I have treasured their friendship over the years.
